Working with Danielle at enContext Architecture was an absolute game changer for our home addition and new barn project. Danielle navigated the building requirements and permitting processes in Boulder County with complete expertise, keeping our project on track. My husband is a general contractor and has collaborated with Danielle on numerous other projects over the years. Whether you are looking to build from scratch or expand your current home, we cannot recommend Danielle from enContext Architecture enough. She brings the perfect blend of creative vision, technical knowledge, and local expertise.

I’ve been a General Contractor in Boulder, Larimer and surrounding areas for the last 30 years. I ran into Danielle about 7 years ago and have done multiple projects with her since. These projects Range from Commercial tenant finish, Custom Homes, a detached garage/ living space, residential remodels/additions, decks to name a few. She has also designed an addition to my personal house that is currently under construction. No one is better at navigating you through Boulder and Larimer County rules, regulations and recent adoptions to the energy and fire code. Her design ideas have created beautiful spaces for my clients to enjoy. I look forward to working with Danielle on future projects for years to come since she makes the process of Design/ Architecture/ Engineering and seeing it through Permit seamless for me. I would recommend Danielle without question.

After purchasing a property in the floodplain, we didn't know where to start to make our plans a reality. Danielle was instrumental in helping us navigate the Site Plan process for Boulder County. Our project is a multi phase project involving a barn, farmstand, 2 story garage / shop and lifting the existing house for floodplain mitigation and subsequent remodeling. She worked with us to draw up plans to meet our needs as well as meet all the county and floodplain requirements. She continued to work with us through the permitting and construction process as the needs arose.

I'm a contractor in Boulder County. Danielle helped me design a conversion of an old garage building into an ADU rental. Her plan really dialed in the best way to get a one-bedroom unit in the small space given of 386 sq ft. I'm framing it up now, and it feels really nice. She was also super knowledgeable and helpful in getting me through the planning and permitting process. Early on in the planning process with The city of Longmont, the city provided me with what they considered the "model template"of a plan to use for my reference turned out to be one of Danielle's plans previously submitted by another contractor! Pretty cool I'd say. Danielle and I have worked on several projects and she's very knowledgeable and helpful. She's a pro.

Danielle was highly recommended to us by our general contractor for our kitchen addition and bathroom remodel.  From our initial phone conversation and our first visit, we knew Danielle was the right fit for us.  She's very down to earth, asks the right questions, truly listened to our needs and has great architectural vision.  We wanted to have a seating area somewhere in our kitchen since we were losing our back porch, but couldn't picture it.  She brought it to life and now we spend most of our time in the kitchen.  Our bathroom was also a complete transformation from basically a closet to an actual room.  It was a seamless process, with Danielle providing a few great options to consider, then a discussion and with a few tweaks she was ready to send off the design to the historical society and city permitting.  She was very responsive, timely and a great resource - well connected to general contractors, engineers and tradesmen.  Her knowledge and expertise in both local building codes and design were invaluable.  We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend Danielle!

We've had the pleasure of working with Danielle twice now. Our first time working with her was on an extensive full home remodel, and more recently we worked with her again on a complicated bathroom/basement remodel. We've found that Danielle's superpower is her ability to take challenging, awkward spaces and re-imagine them into something that just makes sense. Thanks to Danielle, it's hard to imagine that our space was ever laid out differently - it all feels so natural now. Truly a joy to work with!

I recommend her to all my friends! She listened to all our needs, accommodated multiple iterations, and made sure to maximize our square footage within the county's limits. The primary focus was accommodating views, outdoor living opportunities, and balancing a hierarchy of gathering and private spaces. Such a collaborative process.

We worked with Danielle and a kitchen designer to redesign our mainfloor space to maximize the size of our kitchen and create a living room, while using the existing space we had. Danielle also designed a new 800 square foot outdoor porch. Danielle really listened to our needs and masterfully used every inch of space in our existing floor plan to allow for us to maximally use light, existing windows and without adding in any additional walls which would have created more expense and permitting from the city. AND she helped us gain square footage above the new kitchen that is now a sewing studio. The covered deck that she designed was carefully thought out to make use of the space in our yard without disruption to the landscaping, and creating what is now our beloved outdoor living room, dining room and kitchen. In all aspects of the project she showed professionalism, creativity, and made all the permitting easy and understandable. She also worked hard and was timely in meeting all of our design timing goals to get the work started. Lastly, Danielle was always accessible for consultation and was always willing to visit the site to inspect work or to help us with design questions that came up along the way. In every way, Danielle is an excellent architect and we would not hesitate to hire her for future projects. She was a pleasure to work with!

We lost our home to a fire and had to rebuild from the ground up. We are so grateful that Danielle was available to design our new home because she was simply amazing! Danielle is organized, detailed, responsive and easy to work with. Together we were able to come up with our dream home, including some creative design ideas that maximized the usefulness and visual aesthetic of every corner. We moved back over 2 months ago and couldn't be happier with the home design.

In addition to her incredible design work, Danielle was a fantastic advocate when we faced unexpected hurdles due to the land surveyor and Boulder County. Danielle is knowledgeable with current code requirements and ensured the home was designed to meet those requirements. When choosing an architect, you'd be wise to select Danielle. We couldn't recommend her more.

Danielle was really wonderful to work with. She was very responsive to all communication, timely, and brought an excellent design eye to my project. I would definitely recommend her and will work with her again if the opportunity arises!
